Renew and Rejuvenate skin
Imagine being able to not only remove the pigment , brown spots, freckles, age spots and broken capillaries on your skin but to end up with renewed, younger, more youthful looking skin….
Both the pleasures and stresses of life, along with the simple passage of time, can age our skin. The signs of photo-aging, redness, broken capillaries, rosacea and sun damage are typically most visible on a person’s face and decollate. Numerous treatments from simple creams to major surgeries exist to improve various facial flaws. Skin specialists have always sought dramatic improvements with low risk and no “down time’. Additionally, many conventional treatment options can only address one condition at a time, while they entail a prolonged recovery time, considerable pain, and potential side effects. And then, there’s Photo-rejuvenation…
What is Photorejuvenation? FAQ's
Photorejuvenation using IPL is a non-invasive treatment that treats skin damage without disruption of the skin’s surface, hence no “down time”. Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) can simultaneously treat a wide range of facial concerns safely and effectively, such as benign brown pigment, age spots (sun-induced freckles), mottled pigmentation, rosacea, redness and broken capillaries.
The Lumenis 1 and the multi-platform we have can effectively (and amaazingly) treat the following:

How is Photorejuventiaon performed?
Firstly a cold gel is applied to the area to be treated, and you will need to wear dark glasses to protect your eyes from the bright light. The smooth glass like surface of the IPL handpiece is gently held up to your skin and pulses of light are applied.
What is Intense Pulsed Light and what can be treated?
Here at Facedoctors we are able to offer the most advanced IPL machines called Lumenis One, technology proven to treat pigmentation, rosacea, redness and broken capillaries from one advanced platform. A special range of wavelengths of light in customizable pulses through a handpiece which is applied to your skin.
The light is absorbed either superficially by broken dark pigment or capillaries or deeper by larger vessels and collagen. Pigment lesions darken and then slough off and new collagen fibers are laid down, giving the skin a renewed and more youthful appearance. Rosacea and broken capillaries are also shattered by IPL and the result is a rejuvenated, smoother, more youthful appearance.
How many treatments will I need?
Results are varied depending on your skin type and your skin condition. Our Lumenis One IPL is superior in comparison to other IPL machines so we are able to get superior results in fewer sessions. During your consultation we will take into consideration your personal details and we will work out your own individual treatment plan. We concentrate on getting the timing correct between sessions to maximise each visit. On average we recommend 3 – 5 treatments, however, you may require more.
What kind of results can I expect?
Photorejuvenation offers superior cosmetic results with variably little down time. Your skin colour and skin condition is an important influence on your individual outcome, our Asethetician will give you a full consultation and help to ensure you obtain the best possible result.
What does the treatment feel like?
Each pulse of light feels like a slight sting or pinch, similar to the snap of a rubber band. No local anesthesia is required and most people tolerate the treatment well.
Are there any possible side effects?
Side effects are rare. You may experience some light reddening or local swelling at the treatment site, but this typically goes away.
