We have had a high number of people asking for more details on our blog from last week about the Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser, here is our response;
Please see attached link of where we extracted this information from, this post we saw purely as interesting as it was an article posted by Spa Beauty NZ. The article written shows some interesting comments regarding this article we shared from Well and Good, which we think you should also take a read of.
What we are suggesting here is to do your research and see where the ingredients are coming from, and what response it is having on the skin.
For example, in this cleanser it has Butylparaben, methyparaben, propylparaben - all which are parabens which can mimic oestrogen and therefore act as a potential hormone (endocrine) system disruptors. Propylene glycol, sodium laurel sulphate are another couple ingredients in this cleanser which are some of the most important ingredients to avoid.
We are proud stockist of Ultraceuticals and their Ultraceuticals MD range as there is a clear ingredient policy on all of they products avoiding these nasty ingredients. Ultraceuticals is free of Parabens, harsh chemicals, SLS/SLES, propylene glycol, petroleum, mineral oil, synthetic dyes or fragrances and most importantly NOT tested on animals.
Please note, we didn't state Cetaphil is a carcinogenic product, it was purely of interest to view and push out to yourselves to encourage more research to be done prior to using.
